A Tale of Two Cities

Adapted from the novel by Charles Dickens and Directed by Jane Haines“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…” Set against the backdrop of the French Revolution of 1789, Charles Dickens’s dramatic story of love, revenge, redemption and resurrection comes to life in this new adaptation. As ever, Dickens has created vivid and varied characters who will draw us into a web of intrigue and adventure.

The stunning setting at Berretts Farm could not be more fitting and enriching for Henfield Theatre Company’s 2025 Open Air Production.

The Cabin at Berretts Farm is located on the Downs Link footpath off Hollands Lane, Henfield.
To get to The Cabin you will need to walk 150m south along the Downs Link. Full signposting will be erected to assist in guiding you there on the 11, 12 and 13 July. There will also be parking on grass available off of Hollands Lane. Kindly note that no vehicular access will be available from Sandy Lane.

If it's a nice evening (which we hope it will be!) we would recommend that you park on Station Road or nearby and walk along the Downs Link.

Pre-booked seating will be laid out in rows in front of the stage so there will be no need to bring your own chairs.

Why not come along a bit earlier and bring your own picnic? Or, maybe take advantage of the catering concession. The Cabin will be open and serving their excellent range of cakes and refreshments. They will also be providing alcoholic beverages - please support them by buying a drink or two before the play commences or place a drinks order for the interval.

Do remember that even in July the temperature can drop after dark so make sure you wrap up warm!

Tickets go on sale from May 12th.
