| Acorn Antiques – The Musical
May 16th to 19th 2012
Those of you old enough, may remember Victoria Wood’s TV comedy Acorn Antiques – a parody of the soaps around in the mid 80’s – in particular the truly dreadful Crossroads.
20 years later, Acorn Antiques - The Musical, made its West End debut, with the parody (or send-up) extended to some terrific musical numbers in the style of A Chorus Line, Les Miserables, Chicago, Grease, Oh what a lovely war, and more!
Like the original TV shows, the plot is as delightfully barmy as the characters – and much too complicated to summarise – mainly because it is improbable, implausible , impossible .... but... very, very funny.
